Major Roles & Responsibilities

 

Arizona Chemical, a Kraton Company is looking to hire a Storeroom Leader, who is a key member of our Maintenance team at the Dover site. The Storeroom Leader will be responsible for managing Storeroom operations including inventory control of stock spare parts and consumable materials to achieve inventory management objectives.

 

Major Role & Responsibilities

  • Managing stored equipment/item repair program, consignment program, and vendor managed inventory program as part of optimizing dollars expended in Stores Inventory Value
  • Checking invoices against ordered material, viewing condition of items ordered, returns unacceptable items, and forwards invoices for payment
  • Working with supervisors, technicians and engineers on the procurement of parts for shutdown and routine maintenance activities
  • Conducting necessary periodic cycle counts of storeroom inventories and make corrections to address discrepancies
  • Developing relationships with vendors and suppliers and maintaining awareness of new trends and developments within the MRO arena; incorporate new developments into storeroom and maintenance operations
  • Overseeing the work of the Maintenance Coordinator
  • Serving as a resource in education and problem solving for the maintenance and storeroom functions within the SAP system
  • Making recommendations for changes and improvements to existing standards, policies, and procedures

Skills and Experience

 

Required

  • 5 years experience working in a warehouse environment.
  • Good working knowledge of storeroom management, inventory management and computer skills related to storeroom transactions.
  • Must to be to analyze data to establish proper inventory levels, re-order points and re-order quantities.
  • Ability to quickly develop an in-depth working knowledge of applicable processes, SAP, workflows, and procedures
  • Ability to work in a proactive work environment; be an effective motivator, communicator, delegator, and trainer of people; and be able to effectively achieve results through others
  • Demonstrated proficiency in planning/analysis, cost accounting, and cost control

 

Preferred

  • CMRT or CMRP
