Major Roles & Responsibilities

 

Arizona Chemical, a Kraton company, is looking to hire a key member of our Manufacturing Team. The Quality Manager will act as a positive agent of change within the site to create a quality mind-set focused on customer value. The Quality Manager will manage all Quality Assurance (QA) resources, including the Quality Lab, in support of site production units.

 

Major Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Manage site responsibilities associated with ISO and customer audits/visits
  • Act as Voice of the Customer for lead team, plant, and for external warehouse and Port City Logistics
  • Coordinate investigations and feedback on all customer complaints
  • Lead Statistical Quality Control program for site
  • Engage with Global QA team to develop consistent company-wide policies and procedures
  • Own the strategic quality improvement plan for the site and support the US Regional Quality Manager in the development of a quality improvement plan for the region
  • Maintain QA capital equipment plan for site
  • Serve as quality interface for designated business units
  • Interface with the External Quality Manager to develop tolling strategy for Volunteer, Plasmine and other toll producers
  • Coordinate Green Belt projects/prioritization for site
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis for Quality related issues and other issues as needed by the site

Skills and Experience

 

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a science related field from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in quality, refinery or related industrial experience
  • Knowledge of ISO-9001 standards, including audit experience
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and statistical packages (Minitab, SQC, etc.)
  • Experience leading and directing teams
  • Business process experience

 

Preferred

  • ·        Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
  • ·        Root Cause Analysis leadership experience
  • ·        SAP experience
