Reports To: This position will report to the Global Lean Six Sigma (L6S) Manager.

Major Roles & Responsibilities

 

Kraton is looking to hire a new member of our Quality and Lean Six Sigma team.  The Lean Six Sigma (L6S) Manager will assist the company in achieving data driven decision-making and continuous improvement as “the way we work.” The Lean Six Sigma (L6S) Manager will guide execution and improvement of the company Lean Six Sigma (L6S) program.

 

Major Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate L6S Training and Certification program
  • Collaborate with sites and functions to identify and prioritize potential L6S projects and including them in the global list
  • Drive improvement of product and process quality through use of L6S tool deployment and Statistical Process Control techniques
  • Collaborate with the quality organization to drive standardization of quality practices and systems
  • Advise sites and functions on best methods to allocate and use L6S resources
  • Coach and mentor Black Belts, Green Belts, Champions and other L6S practitioners in program execution, project execution and use of tools
  • Execute selected L6S projects

Skills and Experience

 

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) or similar field of study
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in process improvement
  • Black Belt training and certification through an organization generally accepted as providing credible credentials
  • Knowledge of Lean & Six Sigma concepts and tools (DMAIC, DFL6S, flow & pull, standard work, mistake proofing, visual concept, etc.)
  • Knowledge of statistical and analytical tools such as ANOVA, hypothesis testing, etc.
  • Project management experience and familiarity with project management tools
  • Structured problem solving skills and methodology
  • Experience leading and facilitating teams
  • Experience with graphical tools such as run chart, box plot, histogram, control chart, etc.
  • Experience applying concepts and tools to manufacturing and transactional processes
  • Familiarity with discreet and continuous data

 

Preferred

  • Minitab experience
