Incident at Arizona Chemical

At approximately 8:30 this morning, a contract worker was killed and four others were injured in an incident at Arizona Chemical’s Oulu, Finland Plant.

The company is now investigating the incident and assisting the families of the injured men.

The contract worker who died is an employee of Oulun Terkos. He was part of a crew that was completing work on a storage tank that had been taken out of service for repairs and had been cleaned. There has been no additional damage to the facility and it remains operational at this time.

Local police and national safety officials are assisting Arizona Chemical in the investigation.
