The automotive air freshener market is demanding. The design of eye catching shapes and colors, the need for physical integrity while being suspended and shaken coupled with the need for high temperature resistance all create a challenge for a fragrance delivery system.
Arizona Chemical's SYLVAGEL™ IM technology forms clear objects when combined with fragrance oils. This ambient temperature, cross linking technology produces transparent, three dimensional objects with up to 75% fragrance oil immobilized in a fragrance oil-polymer "matrix". As these objects are formed by covalent chemical bonding, the objects have high temperature resistance, in some cases well above 100°C.
