Arizona Chemical serves the lubricant industry with a variety of
key raw materials. Arizona's product line is unique and broad; our chemistries meet customers' needs
for performance and are based on renewable resources.
For the formulator seeking a supplier who
understands the interface between its chemistry and your
application, Arizona Chemical, with its biobased product portfolio
is qualified to meet your needs. Arizona's products are well
suited for some important application areas within the lubricants
industry.
Passenger Car Motor Oils
In automotive engine
applications, Arizona has developed Uniflex® 1803, a friction
modifier that delivers superior friction reduction at very
economical treat rates. Uniflex® 1803 was
developed in response
to growing needs for improved fuel economy, and
is based upon unique raw materials that deliver
on performance. In addition, Arizona offers Sylfat® 202, an
overbased detergent that
will aid in the removal of heavy
metals, sulfur, and sulfated ash from engine oil formulations, all while reducing friction.
Metalworking Fluids
For the metalworking fluid formulator, Arizona has a broad line of Sylfat® distilled tall oil
products and Uniflex® esters. Distilled tall oils are a staple in soluble oil formulations. New
products like Uniflex® 397 and 398 offer
excellent load carrying properties combined with superior water solubility, for synthetic and
semisynthetic metalworking fluids.
Biobased Lubricants
For formulators of hydraulic fluids, Arizona offers a range of
Uniflex® ester base oils
that combine excellent oxidative stability with high viscosity indices and high flash points.
These products, based upon renewable resources, are available in several grades, to cover
top-tier and medium-tier applications.
Formulators of other industrial lubricants can turn to Arizona Chemical for base oils in the ISO VG range
46 to 460, all offering excellent low temperature properties, high flash points,
low pour points, and biodegradability.
Greases
Thickener precursors, derived from castor oil, form the foundation of Arizona's offerings
to the grease formulator. Beyond thickener precursors, look to Arizona Chemical's
Sylvagel® 6100 to improve
mechanical stability of polyurea and aluminum complex greases. Arizona's Uniflex® esters
also serve as base oils for
specialty grease applications, where biodegradeability or low temperature properties
are required.
